Entry for September 09, 2006

I finally got my photos up here to this place! In "kandaphati--" most of the album were taken during our trip up north to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son. Our trip began just a few hours after the Tsunami happened down south.

Had we chosen to travel down south (which we almost did!!!!!) we could have long been history...!!!!

It was so peaceful up north, but we saw and heard of the tragedy all the time.

In another album, "kandaphati's photos", there were pictures of our trips to NE and central Thailand.

Quotable Quotes ---

A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not themountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?

Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity.

Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.

To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to.

If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were.

And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

Faith is an oasis in the heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking.

-- Kahlil Gibran (1883 -1931)

Something to Ponder

Women are meant to be loved, not understood.

Men become old, they never become good.

There is nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman; it's a thing that no married man knows anything about.

Education is a wonderful thing, provided you always remember that nothing worth knowing can ever be taught.

There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book; books are well written or badly written.

The truth is rarely pure and never simple.

The only thing worse in the world than being talked about is not being talked about.

The old believe everything; the middle-aged suspect everything; the young know everything.

In this world there are only two tragedies; one is not getting what one wants, the other is getting it.

--- Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900)
