It was scary listening to my refugee friends talk about how they had risked their lives fleeing from the killing fields in their hometown.
It is always sad whenever I think of what I have seen in various refugee camps along the border in my country.
My heart sank seeing freedom-seeking people being restricted in huge slum-like places that were called refugee camps or temporary shelter area or whatever, despite the fact that these people were a lot luckier than their country folks who were still trapped in various war zones.
Below are a few articles I have found about the refugees who fled to my country.
• From the east: the Hmong People from Laos.
• From the west: different tribes from Myanmar.
• From the far north: the Koreans from North Korea.
