* Remarks:
The link in my original post (loykrathong.net) ceased to exist after 2006.
In Nov 2019 (now) I changed the link to the present one in the above.
Choose a Kratong (water lantern) and click LOY to float it. (^_^)
But I am not sure how long it will work!

Entry for November 05, 2006 -- River Cruise
I went with my family to a river cruise along ChaoPraYa River last night.
The price was only 1/2 or 1/3 of tonight's.
Tonight is Loy Kra Thong Day and the moon will be so full and water in the river even higher.
Last night during the 3+ hours cruise we saw beautiful moon in the sky and lots of wonderfully lighted ships in the river.
The moon was beautiful. The air was dry and very cool.
In fact, Bangkok was not hot at all yesterday, which was so unlike the usual muggy and polluted city that we knew.
The cruise in that large ship could have been more pleasant if they did not have noisy (and lousy) music.
Honestly, it was HORRIBLE and quite a torture.
But thank heaven the food (and that bottle of Champagne) was not bad.
I will try to post the pics we took of those beautiful ships for my blog later --after I get rid of my hangover....
(Can't promise though....)

Fancy Ships seen on Nov-4-2006
I suggest that you take only a few seconds looking at each VDO clip.
But for a VIRTUAL cruise, you should grab some food and beer,
turn on your computer audio to its max, and enjoy.
